Stem Ginger Cake

Mrs Crimble's Stem Ginger Cake. This cake is naturally low in fat and contains lots of real stem ginger pieces. This cake is great on it’s own but it’s also scrummy with a dollop of clotted cream or some custard. Whilst this cake is wheat free it is NOT GLUTEN-FREE as it is made with rye flour which, whilst very low in gluten when compared to normal wheat flour, is above the levels recommended by the Coeliacs society.
