Mrs Crimble's Roving Reporter

What a start to the tournament England have had! The team have remained focused and have battled hard to secure three wins in-a-row, including an emotional victory over Jamaica. A well-deserved rest day followed as the Roses get ready to head into the second round robin stage and a meeting with World Champions, Australia!

Having finished top of Pool B, England are in high spirits but we are all aware of the dangers that the Australian Diamonds bring and they will want to prove a point after their shock loss to New Zealand. The day off from action was a chance for the players to rest up or to see some of the sights that Sydney has to offer.

It was obviously hungry work too as the Mrs Crimbles’ cereal bars have reached a dangerously low level! Away from the court, we all attended the wonderful England Netball Supporters Club function on Sunday evening and it was a privilege to watch Geva Mentor and Pamela Cookey get inducted into our Hall of Fame.

The team have been amazed by the kind words and volume of support back home in the UK, please keep sending in those good luck messages! With two games in two days and a place in the semi-finals up for grabs, the pressure is on and the team are determined to deliver and make our fans proud.

Hopefully we can bring news of more success in our next update.

Cheer us on and don’t forget to Unite in Red!
