Entry 11: Hakuna Matata

Entry 11: Hakuna Matata

Bright and early we set off from the hotel in Barcelona for the last 800 mile leg home, in high spirits and looking forward to a night in our own beds. 15,000 miles, 20 countries and over 100 take offs and landings overall. We’ve enjoyed fantastic sights along the way and have met lots of extremely helpful and friendly people on our trip to raise funds for Breast Cancer Campaign.

Our small group of fellow travellers and friends have all departed back to Belgium, Poland, Spain and Scotland in equally high spirits and we look forward to seeing them all again at a reunion sometime in the future.

Landing back in the UK at 17.30 on Friday night after some minor official delays in both Spain and France, (yes delays happen here also but we are now familiar with an average of 2 hours waiting per hour of flying)! Des and I head off on our separate ways still friends after 7 weeks together!

We would like to thank you all for your support throughout this trip and for all of your generous donations to Breast Cancer Campaign. It’s not too late to donate, simply follow the link below.
